FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s like having a fixer in your phone.

Is this a free service?

Yes — the basic referral is totally free. I make a small fee from the contractor if they take the job. You don’t pay anything unless you choose the Concierge option.

What types of services can I request?

I specialize in quick repairs for major, important home or business issues like storm damage, plumbing, broken HVAC, or leaking roofs, but if you're not sure— just ask. If I don’t have someone for it, I’ll try to find one.

What's the Concierge Service?

If you don’t want to deal with scheduling, callbacks, or managing the job, I’ll handle all of it for you — from site visit to follow-up. It’s a simple fee, and I act like your personal project manager.

How fast will I hear back?

Usually within 1–3 hours during the day. I try to respond as quickly as possible (I’m a real person, not a bot, for now).

Do you actually vet these contractors?

Yes. I only refer people I’d hire myself. Frankly, I probably have hired them for something. I screen for quality, reliability, insurance, and fair pricing.

What if I'm not sure what kind of contractor I need?

No problem — just tell me what’s going on in plain English or send a photo. I’ll figure out who’s best for the job and get you connected. You don’t need to know the difference between a mason and a handyman — that’s my job.
